What is a sweater? Learn about Australian Fair Dinkum Ugly Christmas Sweater with Alishirts
“Mum, where’s my jumper?” I ask.
“What did you say?” My mother mutters while she’s looking for something in the oven. “I didn’t hear what you said.”
I repeat myself louder this time and she looks at me with a confused expression on her face. She opens up the oven to show me but there was no sweater inside it like I thought there would be. A wave of panic washes over me as I try to think where else my Christmas sweater could be hiding around the house under piles of rubbish or behind furniture that hasn’t been moved in months since we had our last family dinner here during Easter break when grandpa came over for some chicken biryani and bar

What is an Australian Fair Dinkum Ugly Christmas Sweater?
It was a bitterly cold winter’s day in Perth. The sky was dark, the air was wet and heavy, and it seemed like it would never stop raining. One person who didn’t seem to care about the weather at all was Sally Brown; she had spent her holiday season collecting old sweaters for an organisation called “The Sweater Project”.
For years now Sally has been collecting gently used sweaters from people around town. She gave them away to other Australians down on their luck who needed some warmth during the harsh Australian winters. Every year she donated 100 or more of these knitwear garments to those in need which made her feel good that she could help out people less fortunate than herself.
It was the month of December and people were getting ready for their yearly Christmas celebration. The festivities started with a visit to Santa, followed by gingerbread houses and finally presents from under the tree. And of course, they wore their most festive sweaters. One day in particular there was a special event at school where each child got to make his or her own sweater before breakfast. They had been instructed not to tell anybody about it until it was all finished but some kids couldn’t resist telling their parents what they were doing that morning. They hoped that this would lead to another family holiday tradition one that involved making sweaters together as a family!

Aussie Scrooge, Bertie Wooster had been a grinch for most of his life. He was always mean to the other people in town and never gave anyone anything at Christmastime because he thought it was all just a waste of money. But one year, on Christmas eve, he felt very lonely as he walked home from work. Suddenly there were these warm fuzzy feelings inside him that made him feel amazing! He saw this light coming from over by the tree right outside his house and went to investigate what it could be? Lo and behold it was Mrs Claus herself who asked if she could come in so they could have tea together. She told Bertie not to worry about

Karen woke up on the wrong side of the bed, walked down to her kitchen with a scowl on her face. She yanked open her fridge door and pulled out a bottle of milk before slamming it back in place. She tugged at one last slice of bread from the loaf sitting on her countertop and left it un-toasted so she could eat it dry and crunchy. Karen hated today, even though she didn’t know why because Christmas was still days away. All year long people were jolly and happy because their gifts had arrived early or they were getting too much time off work. But what did she get? Nobody ever cared about Karen’s Christmas wishes but every year when December rolled around all people wanted to
