It was Christmas Eve and I walked into my office to find the strangest sight. The entire office staff were wearing ugly sweaters, huddled around a table where they had decorated it for Christmas with mistletoe and wine glasses. “What’s going on?” I asked, but nobody seemed to hear me. Just then Gosh stepped out of his office still looking dapper in his green sweater vest as he gestured for everyone to follow him into the conference room. One by one people left their posts until there was only me standing guard at the door way trying not to laugh at all these grown adults acting so childish just because they could wear ugly clothes- well then again maybe that is why it has become such a popular trend this
“No, you can’t wear that,” said my mom.
“But why not?” I asked. “It’s a Christmas sweater.”
My mom looked at me with a look of pity in her eyes before she answered, “You have no idea what it is like to be in public and see people wearing ugly sweaters.”
Every year, my family’s Christmas Eve tradition was to go outside and start a snowball fight. That night, I was the only one who went out there with them. I was looking forward to seeing their faces when they opened up my gift in the morning. We all laughed as we each threw a snowball at the other person across from us, but then it started getting really serious. They were trying so hard not to laugh because they knew what would happen if they did! Finally after about 8 minutes of non-stop snowballs being thrown back and forth between us, someone said “I’m done.” And that’s when we noticed how many trees had been knocked down in our battle!
Every year at school, Mrs. Davis hosted an ugly sweater party in the days before Christmas break. The students all dressed up in the most ridiculous clothing they could find and then competed to see who had the ugliest of them all. A few weeks before December, she would send out a letter with directions for what day to bring your sweater on and what time we should start getting ready for it (it took quite some time to put together).

When I got there it felt like time had stopped because time was finally up before me in an aisle with hundreds of different sweaters!
