It was only a few weeks before Christmas when I got the call from my niece that she wanted to commission me to create an ugly reindeer sweater for her dad. Reminding her that I had already agreed to make one for her and her brother, she begged me not to tell them about this project because it would ruin their surprise. She told me they were both really excited and looking forward to receiving their sweaters at the next family gathering on Christmas morning. Feeling like I owed it to my niece who always treated me very well, I agreed despite feeling stressed out by all of the deadlines coming up in December. If she knew how much work was involved with this request, there’s no way she would want such a cumbersome task added
The reindeer car Christmas ugly sweater is a rude and crude design that tells a story of the holidays. A farmer is going about his day, pulling down hay from a rack when he notices that it’s snowing. Excitedly glancing up at the sky as if to say “Let It Snow!” before looking back up with an expression of horror as he sees something coming towards him in slow motion. The camera pans out to show us what’s been happening all this time: He was harvesting carrots!
It’s Christmas Eve and Santa is flying through the sky with his reindeer. One of the reindeer, Rudolph, was injured during a flight and can’t fly anymore. This meant that there were only four reindeers to pull Santa’s sleigh on this night! All of the other animals took pity on Rudolph but they couldn’t do anything about it as they all had jobs to do for Christmas morning. Little Cindy Lou from next door knocked on Santa’s door and asked if she could help out. She tried her best to tug at one end of the sleigh but wasn’t strong enough for it so instead she climbed up onto the roof where she held one end down with her foot while using her hands to hold tight
“Mom and Dad, I was just trying to spread some Christmas cheer!” my little red-nosed reindeer bawled as they dragged me by the antlers into their living room. “I just wanted to be festive, but please don’t tell Santa! He’ll never let me fly again.” My mother shook her head as she pulled my ears back so tightly they might snap off at any moment.
“Mom and Dad, I was just trying to spread some Christmas cheer!” my little red-nosed reindeer bawled as they dragged me by the antlers into their living room. “I just wanted to be festive, but please don’t tell Santa! He’ll never let me fly again.” My mother shook her head as she pulled my ears back so tightly they might snap off at any moment.LL
